Your Hometown Sump Pump Installation & Crawl Space Repair Pros in Waldport, OR

With an odd odor coming from the crawlspace, these homeowners decided to look under their home. They discovered the old fiberglass insulation was falling in pieces from water weight, and the odd odor was stronger here. They recalled an ad they had seen for John's Waterproofing and scheduled their free inspection. We sent out a design specialist who did a full inspection and crafted a solution made to fit their homes needs. 

To begin our crew had to clear the crawlspace. To begin we upgraded the exterior crawlspace entrance to an Everlast Entryway. Next we pulled out the old fiberglass insulation, the 6 mil vapor barrier, and other general debris. We then installed a TripleSafe sump pump in the lowest spot to collect groundwater and run it along a discharge line to a LawnScape outlet safely away from the homes foundation. We then laid down TerraBlock insulation over the dirt floor and brought in CleanSpace, and sealed off the vents. A SaniDry dehumidifier was installed and spray foam was applied on the foundation walls. The homeowners are thrilled with how clean and bright the crawlspace is now! 

An odd smell coming from the crawlspace is something to look into. When the homeowners of this home recognized the odd smell in their home was in their crawlspace, they called up the local experts; John's Waterproofing. Our system designer investigated and discovered signs of critters chewing through their old exterior crawlspace entrance, and had signs critters had been living in this space. The old fiberglass insulation was falling in strips from water weight, and parts were put into areas for critter nesting. 

To absolve the issue we came in and removed all of the damaged insulation and debris from under the home. We then replaced each vent cover as well as installed a new EverLast exterior entryway. We then installed TerraBlock insulation on the dirt floor, and SilverGlo insulation on the foundation walls. Using CleanSpace, we then encased the crawlspace. This is installed under each wooden post, anchored along the walls, and sealed in with special four inch wide tape. As a final step we then installed a Sanidry dehumidifier to keep this space dry, and the home above healthy!

This customer was going to install new wood flooring throughout her home and felt it was prudent to check her crawlspace for moisture to prevent her investment from buckling. A wise thing to do, the inspection showed a lot of water in the crawlspace and it would have surely ruined her new floors if left unchecked. After meeting with the System Designer she opted to go for our full crawlspace encapsulation. 

A few weeks later one of our experienced Installers came out and got busy laying down barriers to keep the home free of dirt and debris for when they worked. Then all of the debris, old insulation and barrier were removed.  A perforated pipe drainage system was installed around the perimeter and graded to a TripleSafe Sump system at the lowest point. TerraBlock was laid on the dirt floor and vents were sealed and posts isolated. A CleanSpace barrier was installed and all seams were sealed and it was run up the walls and fastened under the rim joist. A SaniDry dehumidifier was installed to ensure the humidity was controlled to prevent mold growth and the air was filtered for a healthy home. Finally, Spray foam was applied to the rim joist to aid the TerraBlock in insulating the space.

Now the air in the home is healthy and her new floors are safe from warping!

Before this home was ready to be put on the market, the homeowners needed to clean up their crawlspace. They then installed a three inch perforated pipe system to direct groundwater to a newly installed TripleSafe sump pump. From here the water is directed out and away from the homes foundation. We than laid down a new 6 Mil vapor barrier. This home is now set for it's new homeowners.

After seeing one of our ads that discuss how water can damage exposed crawlspace insulation, they looked under their home. The fiberglass insulation was dropping and falling down from water moisture. To begin our crew removed all of the old insulation and cleanout out the space. With a fresh base we installed our TerraBlock crawlspace insulation. This was then encased in our Cleanspace 20 Mil vapor barrier. This is secured under each post and along every wall to ensure the space it waterproofed. Next we added in spray foam to the crawlspace walls so that the space would be insulated on all sides. Finally to maintain a healthy environment we added in a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. 

The homeowners were amazed to see how quickly their energy bills went down after we were done!
