Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Drainage Systems to Keep Your Basement Dry - Everett, WA

Water flooding in your basement is never a good sign. Every homeowner deserves to use every bit of space their home can offer them, and without a proper drainage system installed, they lose hundreds of square footage due to standing water. That was the experience for this homeowner when water was puddling up in their basement and their items were getting destroyed. They called John's Waterproofing about being able to control the passage of water so it wouldn't continue ruining their basement. We began this project by installing a drainage system that would be able to collect any water that tried to enter and guide it to a sump pump. We jackhammered a trench along the interior perimeter of the basement to install our WaterGuard system. WaterGuard is a sub-floor drainage system installed alongside the footing of the basement that collects water. It is lined with gravel to filter the water through and help to prevent any clogging. Once the pipe is installed, we cover the WaterGuard with concrete so it offers homeowners a discreet look that is still helping against water intrusion. It connects to a TripleSafe sump pump. This three-pump system is able to collect gallons of water from the WaterGuard and safely push it out of the basement and away from the homes foundation. Once this drainage system is installed, the homeowner gets to enjoy more usable space in their home because their basement will stay dry.
