Are you Ready for the Solar Eclipse?
A RARE AND EXCITING EVENT
A FULL SOLAR ECLIPSE
The Solar eclipse is approaching, the last time this event happened in the US was over 100 years ago. It is very rare to see a FULL solar eclipse, and full totality can only be seen in ten states, Oregon being one of them. Though it totality varies from location the estimated time is just over two minutes. This short time hasn’t deterred people from traveling to these states to watch the rare event unfold. The state of Oregon has issued several traffic warnings, along with gas shortages and cell phones not working due to towers being over loaded. This event is predicted to bring about one million people to visit our beautiful state, they are recommending that if you live here not to travel places to see the event. It will be safer to stay off the roads. And if you do have to travel to have a full tank, an emergency kit and plenty of extra water and food. They also recommend getting your car gassed up early so if there is a shortage of gas you will have enough. We don’t actually know what to expect from this event but we want to encourage everyone to please be safe while enjoying watching this event unfold. Also, do not forget your protective solar eclipse eye wear. It will damage your eyes to stare at the sun for too long.
