Photo Album: Crawlspace Repair After Rodent Issues - Corbett, OR

This homeowner called up needing their crawlspace looked at. There had been a previous rodent issue, and while that had been addressed there was still a prominent urine smell, and they knew their old fiberglass insulation was in disrepair from the rodents. To clean up this below-grade space and protect it in the long run, we installed a full encapsulation system including insulation with TerraBlock and Spray Foam, as well as sealing the space off completely with CleanSpace which is a rodent deterrent due to it's thick woven fibers, as well as a SaniDry dehumidifier.

Mess in the Crawlspace

This crawlspace was a mess and was still being used for storage items.

Old insulation in disrepair

The old insulation was falling in pieces and piled along the foundation walls for nesting.

New CleanSpace

CleanSpace is a 20 Mil vapor barrier and seals the space, closing off the old vents. This material deters critters with it's woven fiber.

Isolated Posts

The wooden posts are isolated with the CleanSpace barrier being installed under each post, keeping moisture out of the wood.

Insulation Upgrade

The space is now insulated with TerraBlock over the dirt floor (under the CleanSpace), and spray foam along the walls to provide the home long lasting heating and cooling costs.
