This homes crawl space had a funky odor and the homeowners could see the fiberglass insulation laying along the floor of the space, not helping with the insulation of the home at all. To address these concerns, they called up John's Waterproofing. After a full inspection and sitting down with a design specialist they moved forward with a full encapsulation so they could rest assured their crawl space would remain dry and healthy.

Soggy Fiberglass

Once it absorbs water it begins to droop away from the home and with enough water weight it drops

Dusty Old Vapor Barrier

While the vapor barrier wasn't in terrible shape, it was exposing some of the gravel floor and had accumulated a lot of dust

Installing Drainage

We installed a full drain system to collect groundwater and send it to the lowest point of the space where a TripleSafe sump pump is installed

CleanSpace

We then lay TerraBlock over the gravel floor and CleanSpace is wrapped throughout the space. This is sealed into place to keep moisture from penetrating up into the space
