This homeowner was ready to upgrade their basement after water had seeped through and made it unusable. The water was able to seep in through the cracks in the foundation walls and completely puddle all over the basement. The homeowner called John's Waterproofing about doing a full basement waterproofing system and specifically wanted more information about the TripleSafe sump pump. To begin this process, we first installed WaterGuard drainage pipe along the interior perimeter of the basement. This is able to collect water and safely send it to the TripleSafe sump pump. The purpose of the sump pump is to take all the collected water and safely push it out of the basement and away from the homes foundation. It's three-pump system is able to control gallons of water and each pump sits at a different height so that there is always control over the volume of water needing to be pushed out. To install the TripleSafe sump pump, we jackhammer a 22 in. deep trench where the container bin can fit. The trench needs to be at the lowest point in the basement so the WaterGuard can securely channel water into it. Then, we can install the sump pump container bin and the Zoeller pumps. Once it is in the trench and the pumps are installed, we attach the airtight lid and hook it up to a power source. Now, this basement has a fully installed TripleSafe sump pump that can control the mass amount of water and keep it out of the basement. Along the walls we installed BrightWall paneling, ensuring any moisture from the walls moves down into the WaterGuard system. And we finish the job with a SaniDry dehumidifier to address any excess moisture in the air.
Jackhammer a Trench for Container.
In the lowest spot in the basement a 22 in. trench is jackhammered so that the TripleSafe will securely fit.
Getting Ready to Install.
After the trench is dug, we can prepare the sump pump by installing the container bun and Zoeller pumps.
Three-Pump Sump Pump.
The TripleSafe is a three-pump system with one pump pushing water out, one set a little higher for excess volume of water, and a third pump that is battery operated in case of a power outage.
Fully Installed TripleSafe.
The TripleSafe sump pump is a key part in our basement waterproofing systems in order to push all the water out and away from the homes foundation.
