LOCAL BUSINESS SPONSORS CYCLING EVENT FOR LUNG HEALTH AWARENESS

John’s Waterproofing is proud to be the Home Health sponsors for Reach the Beach. This is a one-day cycling event for the American Lung Association that raises funds and awareness for lung health. Reach the Beach is widely acknowledged by residents as the start of the cycling season in Oregon.

On Saturday, May 18, 2024, cyclists will ride across scenic landscapes as they cycle up to 100 miles across Oregon from Portland to Astoria. The ride begins on Sauvie Island, proceeds through the Tualatin Mountains, and ends in historic Astoria by the Youngs River.

With four route lengths to choose from, Reach the Beach has an option for everyone. Riders can select route lengths of 14 miles, 32 miles, 64 miles, or the full 100 miles. Six rest stops will be located along the routes. Directions to each can be found on the event website.

There is also the option of forming a Cycle for Air Team where you and a minimum of three teammates can cycle together towards healthier lungs. For more information or to register, visit www.reachthebeachor.org.
