Water in Basement in Elmira, Oregon
Challenge
A home sat wonderfully close to a creek. In the summer, being so close to the water was great. But in the winter and the more rainy months of the year, the water got too close to the house. Every year the homeowner had to deal with a flooded basement after the rain brought the creek closer and closer to their home. The homeowner got tired of not being able to fully use the basement and constantly having to deal with basement water damage.
Solution
Our crews went out to the home and installed a SuperSump sump pump in the basement. This sump pump can pump 2,650 gallons per hour smoothly and quietly. It resists clogging and can pump up to half inch solids. It also has a built-in WaterWatch alarm system that sounds off if the water rises above the point where the pump should turn on. This alerts the homeowner to a problem before any damage has occurred. Now the homeowner can enjoy their basement, no matter what the weather is like outside.
