This customer purchased his home in Salem, OR that had previously had rodents down in the crawl space. They had removed the vapor barrier and insulation, sanitized the area, and installed a new vapor barrier but were still getting rodents so they decided to call us here at John's Waterproofing to see about having an encapsulation done. Encapsulating your crawl space seals off all vents and possible entryways for rodents to have access to along with the added benefit of a cooler, dry crawl space.  In just a few short days our crew was able to clean out all of the debris that had built up n the crawl space and they were then able to start the encapsulation. Repairs were done to some of the support posts that had been damaged by water and rodent activity. A SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier was put in to eliminate the moisture from the air. A SaniDry SmartSump pump system was installed to continually make sure any entering water gets pumped away from the house. The crawl space was encapsulated with the patented CleanSpace material that will keep the crawl space cool and dry for many years and then finished with Spray Foam insulation.  Our customer now has a dry, clean crawl space that is running efficiently and will free of rodents for a very long time.
