Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Wanting to Waterproof Before Finishing - Portland, OR
This home was getting ready for a basement finishing. When getting ready, the selected contractor found moisture in the basement. To ensure their work would remain in tip-top shape, they referred the homeowner to checkout John's Waterproofing for a full basement waterproofing system before the space was finished. The homeowners wanted to protect their investment and moved forward with this. This included a full WaterGuard drainage system, TripleSafe Sump Pump, ThermalDry Radiant Wall system in some places, and BrightWall paneling in the spaces that would be left semi-finished. To ensure they were ready for the finishing contractor they also had our plumbing division out to update and move some pipes for the laundry room.
Before - Water Stains
The space had water stains along the foundation walls
WaterGuard Trench
Our crew dug a trench along the interior perimeter
Drain System and Leech Line
The space also had some leaking cracks through the basement floor, for these we installed leech lines to collect the water, sending it to the WaterGuard drain system to be dispelled
Proper Insulation
ThermalDry Radiant Vapor Barrier is installed along the walls, this insulates and acts as a vapor barrier, guiding wall moisture down into the drain system
Plumbing System Upgrade
The pipes were installed and prepped for the laundry room
