Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Helping Transform a Basement into a Finished Space - Portland, OR

This home was getting added living space through their basement. The space was getting finished but, the homeowners wanted to ensure the space would have a dry and healthy waterproofed foundation so their investment would be protected. To do this we installed a full drainage system, sump pump, and ThermalDry wall system. We upgraded the basement windows and installed the ThermalDry Flooring system as well.

Before - Stairway

The homes walls had been painted with a waterproof paint, but it did need to be reapplied every few years to keep it in working order

Before - Smaller Windows

the homes old windows were smaller, and didnt allow for much natural lighting to filter in

Before - creating space

To use the space, the homeowners had been dropping down from the subfloor to use as décor. The homeowners wanted to install drywall and get the space full usable

Window Installation

The windows were upgraded. These become emergency exists should it be needed and allow more natural lighting to enter

After - Stairway

With the waterproofing drainage and sump pump installed, the flooring was installed. The walls were framed out over the ThermalDry and the stairs were getting upgraded
