Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Basement Waterproofing: Keeping it Dry - Saint Benedict, OR
Becoming a homeowner is an exciting opportunity to discover your style and all the possibilities you can do with your new space. That is, if every space in your home is usable. Having a wet basement is a homeowners nightmare because you can't put anything in there without the fear of your things getting water damaged. Luckily, John's Waterproofing specializes in keeping basements dry and waterproofing them from future moisture issues. The process of basement waterproofing begins by installing a drainage system. This is crucial so that any water that tries to seep in, now has a safe passageway to be pushed away from the homes foundation. Our drainage system involves installing WaterGuard along the interior perimeter of the basement. It is placed beneath the concrete floors so that it can do its job of directing water while also being unnoticeable. The WaterGuard is connected to a SuperSump Plus sump pump that constantly works to push the collected water out and away from the homes foundation. Because the owner of this property wants to have this space finished, we installed ThermalDry along the walls. This vapor barrier is made of waterproof material and is designed to guide moisture from the walls down to the drainage system. This helps to ensure no water will be able to seep through and cause more damage to the basement. Now this basement is protected against water damage and ready for the homeowner to get to use this space safely.
