Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawlspace Transformation in Portland

This Portland customer called us because they had seen standing water in their crawlspace and wanted us to come to inspect it. What they didn't know was that the standing water was only one portion of the issues that were happening. The humidity in the crawlspace from the water was being absorbed into their insulation causing it to sag and fall. The wooden posts holding their floor were rotting due to the standing water when it rained. Our crew went in and did a post replacement and encapsulated the crawlspace. The customer now has a dry and free of moisture crawlspace and new posts to support her house.

Water Damage

Due to the moisture in the crawlspace, it has caused a perfect environment for mold to grow. This mold growth is right under where the insulation was and two inches from inside the house getting into the air we breathe.

Dehumidifier

Our Sanidry Dehumidifier was installed to keep the moisture stays out and filters our dust and mold spores from the air.

Sump pump

Encapsulating

We encapsulate with our Cleanspace vapor barrier that is 20 mils thick and is tear resistant to give years of protection.

Diy Sump pump

This was a sump pump they installed but was not draining the water out properly.

Our SmartJacks are adjustable steel piers that fit perfectly in the crawlspace. Since they are made of steel they will never rot or shift as wood ones do.
