This homeowner called us because they had finally gotten so frustrated with their crawlspace entrance and knew there was moisture accumulating. Besides the moisture problem our inspector found mold. The mold had gotten into the floor joists and was spreading pretty rapidly and needed attention quickly. Our inspector recommended that our crew do a crawlspace encapsulation and replace the crawlspace entrance. The crews went in and treated the mold problem and encapsulated the crawlspace. The mold is now gone and won't be coming back.

Full Encapsulation

When we encapsulate a crawlspace we make sure that it closed entirely. We bring the vapor barrier all the way up to the house sill plate. This provides the protection that the crawlspace needs to keep the crawlspace completely sealed.

Using a strong vapor barrier

Our CleanSpace vapor barrier is a 20 mil thick woven fiber vapor barrier. It is tear resistant and makes sure that moisture and mold can't get thru it.

Spray Foam

Once a job is completed and the crawlspace is completely encapsulated we use spray foam insulation around the perimeter walls to help keep your heating and cooling bills down and not allow air to escape from your ducts.

New access point

One of the many things we do is replace crawlspace entrances. This is a tight fit door that will not rust or rot in our Oregon rain.
