These homeowners hadn't realized that their crawlspace had been overlooked for years. After noticing an odor entering their home, they checked the crawlspace and found the space in disrepair. The vapor barrier they had installed when they originally purchased the home was ripped, torn, and pushed around. All of this allowed water to creep up through the dirt and caused caked mud. The water was then trapped to eventually evaporate into the old fiberglass insulation. This had caused mold spores in the old insulation. To fully clear the space, we did a full encapsulation to ensure the space was waterproofed and insulated the correct way. This included a full parameter drainage system, SmartDrain, TerraBlock, CleanSpace, SaniDry dehumidifier, and Spray Foam Insulation.
