Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Funky Smell Coming From Crawlspace in Hillsboro, OR

This homeowner called up John's Waterproofing since they had a funky smell coming from the crawlspace and were concerned that it could be mold. Our design specialist dove under the home and discovered old fiberglass insulation falling in pieces, standing water, and mold spores. To combat these issues we did a full encapsulation, transforming this space into a dry and healthy crawlspace.

Standing Water

Water was pooling on the old vapor barrier, luckily we were here to fix that.

Falling old Insulation

The old fiberglass insulation was absorbing moisture and drooping from the water weight.

Sump Pump System

This sump pump system collects groundwater from the drainage system and sends it away from the home's foundation.

SaniDry dehumdifier

A SaniDry dehumidifier is installed to keep the air moisture content from allowing any mold to grow.

Fully Insulated to Last

We installed TerraBlock insulation over the dirt floor and Spray Foam along the foundation walls.
