This homes crawl space needed attention. It was a caked on muddy, falling insulation, and littered with droppings mess. To get the space inspected, the homeowners called upon John's Waterproofing. A design specialist went out, and put together a full encapsulation solution to provide a solution to keep it dry, stable, and healthy in the long run.

Poor Design

The old crawl space had a pipe that was dumping water over the old vapor barrier

Muddy Mess and Ripped Vapor Barrier

The old vapor barrier was a mess of tears and rips with mud over it all

Fiberglass Along the Floor

The old fiberglass insulation has fallen from the sub-floor sitting in the muck

CleanSpace Vapor Barrier

The crawl space has CleanSpace wrapped throughout, this is a 20 mil vapor barrier with a woven fiber through it

Sump Pump and Proper Insulation

We installed a drain system with a Sump Pump to divert water away from the home. We also properly insulated the space with TerraBlock over the dirt floor and Spray Foam along the foundation walls.
