Sump Pumps Photo Album: Keeping Homes Dry with TripleSafe - Longview, WA
This homeowner reached out to John's Waterproofing back in 2017 after experiencing water in their crawl space. Hoping the issue would resolve on its own, they opted to wait it out and not get a waterproofing system installed. They reached back out again in 2025 explaining how water was still coming into their crawl space after all these years and had no idea how to get it to stop. We informed them about how our Pipe Pump Plastic system would be the best option because it involves installing a proper drainage system to keep that water out while still being budget friendly. The first thing we needed to do was remove the damaged vapor barrier and insulation because they were completely deteriorated after years of water intrusion. Then, we installed a perforated pipe along the interior perimeter of the crawl space that collects water that tries to enter and offers a safe passageway for it to flow through. This pipe then connects to a TripleSafe sump pump. This heavy duty, three pump system is designed to be able to control high volumes of water and securely send it out of the crawl space and away from the homes foundation. It is installed in the lowest point of the crawl space and sits in a sealed off basin within a 22 in. dug out hole. Each pump in the container is set a little higher than each other so as water fills in, the pumps will turn on as necessary. This sump pump even comes with a backup battery operated pump in the case of a power outage so no matter what the crawl space can remain dry. After the pipe and the TripleSafe are installed, we can then install a new vapor barrier to seal the earth off from the home and prevent water from seeping over top of it. This vapor barrier also acts as a guide for water that tries to seep through the walls and sends it down below to the drainage system. Now that this system is fully installed, the homeowner feels safer knowing the crawl space will stay dry and healthy.
Sediment Brought in from Water.
The exposed earth and sediment are indicators of years worth of water intrusion in the crawl space.
Crumpled Vapor Barrier.
The original vapor barrier was completely destroyed from water moving it over time and was no longer able to serve its purpose of isolating the crawl space.
TripleSafe Sump Pump.
The TripleSafe sump pump is capable of collecting gallons of water and safely pushing it out of the crawl space and away from the homes foundation.
Backup Battery Operated Pump.
The backup pump is battery operated in the case of a power outage so no matter the circumstance, your crawl space can remain dry and healthy.
