Sealed crawlspace with a CleanSpace Encapsulation system after cleaning out the old vapor retarder and sealing all crawlspace vents. Installed sump pump and dehumidifier in crawl space and insulated the interior of the crawlspace walls with sprayed polyurethane foam.

Wanted to give a big shout out to John's! You did my crawlspace in 2019 and have done annual service on it each year. And when the ice hit, my neighbors had breaking pipes under their homes, but mine are still in great condition. That encapsulation works! 

After some research, we called Johns Waterproofing for an estimate. When Jakob Bilyeu came he went into the crawl space, took pictures, explaining each situation and showed where mice were coming in (yikes). Jakob is knowledgeable with the whole process flow which helped seal the deal. Forward nine months and we're ready for the anniversary inspection. Past winters were very cold in the house especially in the bedroom. Since the encapsulation, it's not been as cold and we haven't had to turn up the heat as much. And no smell and no more mice from the crawl space. Installers were VERY mindful of our furniture and tried to minimize dust and dirt; cleaned up daily so we could use the space in the evenings; friendly crew who explained every day what part of the project they were on. The whole experience made me very comfortable recommending Jakob and Johns Waterproofing Company.

I wanted you to know how much I appreciated the fine work you guys did on the waterproofing work that was done in our house in October of 2013. We have already reaped rewards health wise from having this done. Years before your workers came out to do the job, I was experiencing a lot of chest congestion and as time went by, it got progressively worse to the point the doctor prescribed me an inhaler to use to keep my lungs free enough to breath easier. It got so bad the doctor ended up prescribing me a second inhaler to use along with the first one. At the same time, I noticed a strange smell throughout the house combined with the smell of mold and mildew. It's been a year and a half since we had the work done and I am now free from using either inhaler as I can breath free and clear now including not suffering from congestion due to colds this past two winters. Both Wayne and I feel much better all around. thanks for a job well done.

Just a note to say that our installers did a great job on installing my sump pump on the 26th of August. They worked hard for 12 hours and when done, cleaned up everything well!

We saw the company's truck in our neighborhood and we decided to get a free inspection for our crawlspace as well. The options were thoroughly explained to us and the crew was on time every day and absolutely amazing!   

Johns Waterproofing did a fantastic job of cleaning up my crawl space, from the presentation to the final touches. Everyone at Johns Waterproofing wants to see your issues resolved, and when they’re done, they want you to be happy with what they did. They are willing to guarantee their work, and when you accept all of their recommendations, your project may qualify for a transferable warrantee as well. We have a spring under our guest room, and our original builder didn’t adequately provide for that. The work he did was deteriorating at a rapid rate, until one day we were forced to confront the issue again. Not only did they remove all of our original builders “make-shift work around” debris, but they actually, permanently fixed the issue to a point where they were willing to warrantee the project “forever”, allowing us to transfer their warrantee to any new owner, should we ever decide to sell our house. I accepted all of their recommendations, and not only did they resolve all of my crawl space issues, my electric and gas bills have been significantly reduced as a result of the things they did in my new, clean space.   We couldn’t be happier with Johns Waterproofing, and their crews. Each and every member of Johns Waterproofing we came in contact with was very hard working, personable, and professional. We had two crews working in our crawl space and every single person was concerned about how they protected our house above the crawl space as well. They put plastic sheeting up on all the walls and floors, and cleaned up every day before they left. I can’t say enough good things about the work force at Johns Waterproofing. There had been a lot of rain and we were getting a smell coming from our crawlspace. So, we called John's and AJ De La Rosa came out to assess. He was great! Very informative and he went the extra mile to make sure I was completely satisfied.

Remediation of water issues in crawlspace to satisfy inspection of home for sale. This was done for my wife's house which she tried to sell when we got married. After renting she was prepared to put the house on the market when a referral from a friend resulted in an offer. The inspection revealed some water issues in the crawlspace, not unusual in this part of the state. I went down to look and verify the issue. The inspection service recommended John's service which made me somewhat skeptical but the Angie's list reviews were positive. When their agent came to inspect and discuss remediation I was more impressed. They were able to schedule the work in a time frame favorable to closing. They arrived on time and did an excellent job of keeping the house clean and cleaning up afterwards. I went down into the crawlspace and saw that new plastic had been put down but wasn't going to peel up the plastic to verify the trenching and placement of drain pipe (sock covered flexible drain pipe).  I saw the wiring for the sump pumps and the alarms but again did not peel away the black plastic to verify installation. It is difficult to rate this work in comparison to above grade work where a better inspection is possible. It appears they did what they said they would and the situation is improved. I am not one to inflated ratings. This is difficult work and "adequate" is really fair praise. I would consider them for our current home some time in the future.
