This customer had over an inch of standing water across her crawlspace. She needed to get a system in place to get rid of the water and keep it out. High humidity in the crawlspace was also causing mold to grow. Our inspector suggested a dry out of the crawlspace and to do a crawlspace encapsulation with drainage. After drainage and encapsulation are finished it is an important part to have a dehumidifier installed. Our crew installed a SaniDry Sedona that is perfect for the crawlspace; it stops mold from growing, dust mites, and allergens. It also removes the humidity from the crawlspace which helps with keeps moisture out. It runs quietly and cost efficient so you never have to worry. This customer was so happy to have all the water removed from their crawlspace.
This homeowner investigated their crawl space and found high humidity levels and rodent activity. They contacted John's Waterproofing about fixing the moisture levels against the sub-floor to prevent mold and mildew growing. This led to doing a full encapsulation to control the atmosphere in the crawl space which helps deter rodents. Our encapsulation can do this with the CleanSpace woven fibers making it difficult for rodents to chew through and the environment unpleasant for them as it maintains the humidity levels. The after photo here shows before the spray foam insulation has been applied to the foundation walls.
This crawl space had an odd odor that was noticeable from the living spaces. Worried about what could be lurking beneath their floorboards, they called John's Waterproofing. To solve their crawl space problems, we removed the ruined old fiberglass and damaged old vapor barrier. We installed a drainage system, TripleSafe Sump pump, TerraBlock insulation, CleanSpace, Spray Foam insulation, and a SaniDry dehumidifier.
Joanna called our company because she was afraid she may have water in crawlspace and didn't want her foundation to rot. Our inspector Vincent Birchall went out and provided Joanna a free inspection. The inspection revealed that not only did she have water in her crawlspace, but some of her posts had already begun to rot. Vincent provided her with a detailed and tailored proposal to address her crawlspace, and Gordon was quick to execute.
Gordon and his team cleaned and encapsulated the space repairing the rotted posts as well. The team installed a dehumidifier and a sump pump to make sure that water and moisture would no longer be an issue. Fernando completed the job with a beautiful spray foam finish for enhanced warmth and comfort year around.
