Mold Found in Brightwood, OR Crawlspace
Challenge
These homeowners were looking forward to converting their crawlspace into storage space and looked to John's Waterproofing for help. Upon inspection, our inspector found mold in the subflooring. Mold is caused by moisture, and mold in the crawlspace can cause odors, respiratory issues, and severely irritate those with sensitive allergies. Moisture can also spell trouble for the structural integrity of the entire home. Wood foundations can absorb water and cause post rot and floor sagging.
Solution
John's Waterproofing removed the mold and using our Mold X treatment to prevent further mold growth. We then addressed the major issue which was water intrusion. We used our patented Cleanspace encapsulation system which completely covers the floors and walls of the crawlspace and comes with a 25-year warranty. This product is seven different layers, 20 mil thick and keeps out al moisture, mold, insects and other pests. It is a great product that many customers like so they may store their things in their crawlspace because it is clean and durable.
