Roof Gutters and Crawlspace Waterproofing
Challenge
Catherine called us to hear about waterproofing options. Her crawlspace was experiencing water damage. The house had a sump pump installed before she moved in, but, it was done by another company and she could tell it wasn't doing its job. The pump ran constantly and when it rained, there were evident puddles. She also had noticed lots of water build up around the gutter spouts near the house and needed a solution. When our specialist came by to check out the home and discuss solutions his hygrometer was able to read a 78.6% humidity. Well above the goal of 30-50%. There was a problem. Our sales specialist was very thorough and helpful while creating a plan to fix all of our problems'. He really set a new standard of expectation for us with his professional and personal approach.
Solution
A team of two installers came out to solve the problem. First they had to remove the old sump pump, due to organic growth being evident where the old sump pump was located, we did a full encapsulation to keep the mold out so the crawlspace would be safe. The install team then put in a 1/3 hp cast iron pump with a TripleSafe Liner with the clean pump stand. After the crawlspace was fully cared for, the crew moved outdoors. Under each drain spout a drain trench was dug down and out away from the house to a rain drain. While this did involved digging down in some flower beds, they crew was careful and the homeowner was very impressed, the flower beds looked untouched after a week.
