Education Never Ends - Showing our Appointment Center a full Crawlspace Encapsulation
CRAWLSPACE ENCAPSULATION
GETTING THE HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE
Education and the pursuit of knowledge are very important to us at John's Waterproofing. From day one, employees across our company receive a plethora of reading materials and tutorials about the products and services we offer our clients. Through our weekly training courses, employees are encouraged to dive into the library of information we have at our fingertips to learn more about specific products. We like to ensure our employees truly understand why we offer these products, and how they are built to combat the water issues that homes are faced with.
Recently we had a full encapsulation going into a local home, and one of our seasoned foremen; Ramon would be in charge. Upon seeing this project on our scheduling board, a portion of our appointment center employees requested a field trip. After ensuring we had employees from other departments answer phone calls, the field trip was set! And while the office was excited to have a chance to see firsthand what a crawlspace encapsulation looked like, Ramon went above and beyond as a teacher.
Upon arrival, Ramon gave the appointment center employees a tour of this spacious crawlspace and had even set up stations so people could see firsthand what the steps to this job really looked like. He then put the students to work; having them each seal a post footing. This entails using our watertight four-inch tape to secure the TerraBlock insulation to the Cleanspace vapor barrier that has been inserted under the wooden post. This water-tight seal is what ensures the water and all moisture will stay out of the wooden foundation so mold, rot, and unfiltered air are kept fully away from the home above.
The appointment center employees were all dutiful students, asking questions, and finding answers to the commonly asked questions they handle in our call center. We are so proud of the vigor our employees have to both share and receive knowledge.
