DIVING INTO THE PRODUCT

CLOSED-CELL FOAM INSUALTION

Having been in the waterproofing industry since 1974, we have seen what a disaster the wrong type of insulation can be in a crawlspace. To combat this issue we recommend that our clients replace the messy, moisture-prone insulation that is commonly placed under a home with modern closed-cell spray foam insulation.

Traditional open-cell spray foam insulation and modern closed-cell spray foam insulation products are vastly different. Open-cell spray foam insulation is cheaper and expands more, allowing air and moisture to pass through. These create nooks and crannies where mold spores and water can be harbored, as well as negating some of the insulation aspects it was installed for. On the other hand, closed-cell spray insulation, while more expensive, doesn’t expand much and seals well enough to act as a vapor barrier. It also has about twice the R-value of open-cell spray foam insulation, helping homeowners save on their energy bills.

Low-pressure closed-cell spray foam insulation is smart because...

  • Fills every space and void increasing effectiveness and performance.
  • Provides 100% air-sealing which increases energy efficiency and noise blockage.
  • Professional installation has the potential to reduce energy bills and will last the life of your home. Most installations can be completed in just 1-2 days.
  • Professional technique and low-pressure spray foam allow for quick re-occupancy.
