Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Sump Pump cant keep up with Water, needs Crawlspace Encapsulation, Portland, OR

Pattie lives in an area with a pretty high water table and her sump pump was not working as it should be so she called into our office to schedule an appointment to get everything looked at. While Vinny was there for the inspection he found that there was water in the crawl space and he suggested that she encapsulate the area.  The encapsulation process for Pattie's situation consisted of debris removal. All of the old materials and equipment were removed. The crawl space was dried out and a dehumidifier was installed. Then a new sump pump and drain lines, the CleanSpace vapor barrier, Spray Foam insulation, and even a new vent cover for the outside access.  Doing all of these things lowered the overall humidity of this crawl space and guarantees that the area will stay dry, cool and protected for water damage for a very long time.
