Water Intrusion Creates a Nasty Crawlspace - Portland, OR
Challenge
The homeowner knew their crawlspace was suffering from water issues. From the mud encased 6 Mil vapor barrier, the falling insulation wrapped around ducting, and mold spores holding against the homes foundation. The homeowner was ready for a solution and reached out to John's Waterproofing.
Solution
After cleaning up the space we installed a TripleSafe sump pump with a discharge line out and away from the homes foundation. We applied Mold X2 as needed through the space and replaced the vent covers. Next we installed TerraBlock insulation over the dirt floor. CleanSpace was then installed through the space, inserted under each wooden post, anchored along the walls, and fully sealed into place. We then installed a SaniDry dehumidifier to keep the air filtered and healthy. A few days later our spray foam installer came by and finished insulating the space. The homeowner was thrilled and was amazed to crawl through the space afterwards to experience how clean and bright the space is now.
