Fiberglass Insulation absorbs moisture from the air and holds onto it, causing it to fall to pieces and curate a good environment for mold spores to grow. To fix this issue, a crawlspace encapsulation is needed. We cleared out this crawlspace, applied Mold X as needed and encapsulated the space with a drainage system, TripleSafe sump pump, TerraBlock insulation, CleanSpace, Spray Foam insulation, and a SaniDry dehumidifier.
When a home has a hard time regulating temperatures, this becomes a big burden on the heating and cooling bills. This home was getting a revamp on its insulation and windows to make the home more energy efficient. For the crawlspace, this entailed pulling out the old fiberglass that was drooping and insufficient, and doing an encapsulation which includes TerraBlock insulation and spray foam.
This homeowner had seen our truck in their neighborhood a few times. They decided to call John's Waterproofing to see what we do and why it was important. After hearing about energy savings as well as the expensive repairs that accompany water issues in the crawl space, they decided to get ahead of the problem with an encapsulation system.
This Basement was used for storage and all of the home owner’s belongings were getting wet! We came in and installed a full perimeter of WaterGuard, CleanSpace Walls, and a SuperSump Sump pump to keep this basement and the things stored in it dry for years to come!
This homeowners crawlspace would flood. They had us out for the initial inspection and learned all about our encapsulation. They knew with the extensive amount of water they faced, they would need to protect their home against the water issues that could occur. A design was crafted, including two Sump pumps to address the water concerns and the system was installed.
