Pest Problems in Independence, OR

Pests in the crawl space are a hassle. You can set traps, clear them out, and repeat the process. That is unless you put a system in place to deter them from getting into the crawl space with an encapsulation. This system seals the crawl space away from exterior elements and is sealed against critters. We seal the vents shut and install an EverLast door so critters can't easily gain access to the space. We then utilize our CleanSpace vapor barrier which has a woven fiber through it, making it difficult for rodents to chew through. This is sealed into the space, allowing no gaps to exist. We than completely air seal the foundation walls with Spray Foam and install a dehumidifier to keep the humidity down, making it an unappealing environment to critters.

Debris and Mud Riddled Crawlspace in Monmouth, OR

This home had an old vapor barrier that had gotten pushed around and moved by the water. This caused the old vapor barrier to hold water, allowing mud to be caked on top of it and the old fiberglass insulation above to droop and hold water. To stop the water intrusion we did a full crawlspace encapsulation.

Protecting and Insulating your Homes Crawlspace - Monmouth, OR

The crawlspace needs to be insulated properly. So many people believe attaching fiberglass along the underside of your home will keep your home insulated. However, it absorbs moisture, holding it against the homes wooden beams, and allowing mold to fester. This home suffered from this issue, and to address it, the homeowners needed to tackle the mold and what caused the mold so it wouldn't end up coming back. To keep their home healthy, a full encapsulation was installed, properly insulating the home and preventing mold.
