This very large space created cold drafts into the house and cold wood floors throughout the year. Our crew removed the old torn black plastic from the floor and encapsulated the space.
Homeowner says,
“A very positive experience! Everyone I dealt with was friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. The contractors were punctual, work was completed professionally, and they cleaned up after themselves. What used to be a wet and musty crawl space is now a dry, clean space after their careful work and installation of a sump pump. They also offered a discount for paying on completion! John's Waterproofing comes highly recommended by this customer; I have already referred them to friends!”
This Portland homeowner was using his crawlspace as storage and where his water heater was installed. He had water leaking and it was ruining his belongings that were stored down there. With water in the crawlspace over time, his posts started to rot and he noticed soft spots on the floor. He gave us a call and our crew came out and encapsulated his crawlspace and put in new posts. He now has more storage than ever before and doesn't have to worry about his belongings being destroyed.
This tall crawl space was used for general storage space. As the years went by, the area began to emit a musty odor. While no major mold issues were found, it did need to be spot treated and to prevent mold issues, we encapsulated the area.
When a homes crawlspace suffers from post damage, the floors will slope, bounce, and doorways can stick. This home suffered those issues, and while the homeowners tried to shimmy the posts up, the issue kept coming back. To solve the problems we installed SmartJacks as needed and did a full encapsulation to protect the home from water damage coming back.
