This home had a water issue in the basement. The walls and floor were damp to the touch and a weird smell was present. The homeowners wanted to finish their basement, but knew the water should be addressed first. They had John's Waterproofing come out and install a full WaterGuard parameter, TripleSafe Sump Pump, Thermal Dry Radiant Wall Barrier, and a SaniDry dehumidifier to get this space properly addressed before they continued with their finishing project.
ThermalDry Wall System is a vapor barrier that is installed against the basement walls to help protect against moisture and water. Thermaldry is unique in the way it reflects heat back into the basement making the basement dry and more comfortable. This basement will now be dry for years to come.
This basement had water seepage in multiple locations. It already had two sump pumps in place that were not functioning or placed properly. Because of this, the water was still able to leak into the basement. The solution? We installed the Waterguard basement drain system along the entire interior perimeter of the basement and replaced one of the sump pumps with our TripleSafe Sump pump. Since the TripleSafe is a powerful, top of the line pump, we only needed to install one of them. Now, the water will be channeled into the Waterguard and to the sump pump ensuring this home owner that water will never touch the basement floor again!
