These homeowners called for a free inspection after seeing our ad in the paper. They had used their crawlspace as a storage area and things were starting to get ruined due to moisture. Our design specialist went out and suggested going with crawlspace encapsulation. It keeps the crawlspace healthy and dry and improves the air quality in your home. Our crew went out and cleaned out all the debris and old insulation from the crawlspace and installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier. It is a 20 mils thick vapor barrier that is rip-resistant and discourages mold growth. In this photo, you can also see that our vapor barrier is installed going under the post to make sure that moisture from the ground doesn't reach the wood post causing rotting. These homeowners loved out clean the crawlspace looked and that they could go back to using it as storage and not have to worry about moisture or critters getting into their stuff.
This homes high humidity has water saturating the old fiberglass insulation, causing it to be heavy with water weight. To address these issues we removed the old insulation and did a full crawlspace encapsulation with insulation that is made for crawlspaces.
This home had a stirp of crawl space next to their finished basement. They had the basement waterproofed and finished a few years back but had opted out of tackling the crawl space. However, this space was getting some standing water in the lower points and the adjoining wall was much colder, leading the homeowners to wonder how much more they were spending trying to keep the basement a comfortable temperature. The decided to have John's come out and encapsulate it.
This crawlspace got a clean out and a new vapor barrier laid down.
