When we looked at this crawlspace it was a dirty mess, The dirt floor was damp, electrical wiring was laying on the ground, and the plumbing was sporadic and outdated. Our crew came in and redid the plumbing, lifted up the electrical wires, and encapsulated the crawlspace with TerraBlock, CleanSpace and SprayFoam.
This homes old vapor barrier had standing water on top of it, which lead to caked on mud. This water moisture had penetrated the old fiberglass insulation, causing it to get heavy with water weight. To solve this water issue, we installed a full crawlspace encapsulation.
This home had sunk over the years, and no longer met local codes. To fix this we dug out the crawlspace. An average of 8 inches, and encased the space with CleanSpace to keep this home dry and healthy.
An unclean crawlspace brings that nasty air up into the livable spaces. With over fifty percent of the air in your home being brought from underneath, we provide a way to have this air be healthy and clean.
This concrete slab crawl space was experiencing some water intrusion. The homeowner had previously installed a 6 mil vapor barrier to help keep water from being able to seep through, but it wasn't capable of keeping the water out during the rainy seasons. Tired of dealing with this, the homeowner decided to call John's Waterproofing and see if there were other options to replace their old vapor barrier. We recommended that the crawl space gets a full encapsulation to seal the home off from the earth and control the water intrusion. With every encapsulation, a CleanSpace vapor is installed along the base, up the foundation walls, and between the footing and wooden posts to isolate and protect against water damage. The CleanSpace vapor barrier is a 20 mil thick compared to the traditional 6 mil black liner. This makes it more durable against rips and tears, especially being backed by a 25 year warranty. The reason CleanSpace is so high quality is because it is made with woven fibers that help prevent water from being able to seep through and sealed with 4 inch thick waterproof tape. Overall the full encapsulation process is designed to keep the crawl space dry and healthy, with added benefits from the CleanSpace vapor barrier.
