Customer called for total encapsulation
This homes old Vapor barrier had become a part of the problem. It was trapping water on top of the vapor barrier since it had water seeping through the walls that had not been addressed. This water was weighing down the fiberglass insulation and was causing a mess that was ideal for mold to grow. Our crew cleaned out the space and encapsulated it to ensure the crawlspace could truly stay dry.
This homes crawlspace suffered from it's old fiberglass insulation. To address this the homeowners were ready for a long-term insulation to protect their home and lower heating and cooling costs they moved forward with a Crawlspace Encapsulation.
This home had mud caked throughout the crawlspace and high energy bills. To address this the homeowners had us do a full crawlspace insulation and encapsulation.
This homeowner had a simple 6 Mil vapor barrier in the crawlspace. They knew every year it would need to be replaced. When heavy rains hit, it always brought mud on top of the vapor barrier. They wanted to know what else they could do to prolong the life of the 6 Mil vapor barrier, so they called John's Waterproofing. While they weren't ready for an encapsulation, they did have us install a full drainage system, TripleSafe sump pump, and lay down a new 6 Mil Vapor Barrier. This will keep water from bringing mud over the plastic, letting it last a bit longer between each replacement.
