This homeowner wanted to have their crawl space encapsulated. They knew water issues were present under their home. They knew they would need more than a simple 6 mil vapor barrier, they just needed the right company for the job. For this part, they turned to John's Waterproofing.
This homeowner found moisture in their crawl space. They had a sump pump down there, but it just wasn't keeping up. They wanted to see how we could help, and after learning that our encapsulation provided long term solutions they were ready to sign up.
We came out to this home and did a full cleanspace encapsulation system, taking this wet and nasty crawlspace and making it look good as new.
This customer's home was built in the '70s and they used the basement as their master bedroom. Over time they have noticed that the waterproofing materials were disintegrating and water was starting to seep into the basement. We demoed half the basement wall that was water damaged and put in our basement wall system. We first put up ThermaDry wall that helps keep warm air in to save on basement heating costs. For a nice finished look, we put in our EverLast Wall Restoration that is compatible with our WaterGuard basement drainage system. The customers were so happy that the basement will no longer leak water but they also have an updated look to the basement.
The access to the crawlspace was very small and difficult to get in and out of, the cement barrier around it let water and debris pour in to the uncovered access hole. Cables and wires were exposed to the outside elements. The open space allowed cold air and animals to enter the crawlspace. Our install crew came and provided an easy way to get in and out of the crawlspace. The system installed will protect the crawlspace from taking on water and air, while giving it a pleasant look.
